Midwest Microlab performs all listed elements in house, no subcontracting:

Packaging


Midwest Microlab recommends that samples be sent in adequate packaging to ensure the vials are protected through shipment. For shipments received with vials damaged during transit, Midwest Microlab will contact you before proceeding with the analysis. For sample containers we usually see 10 ml screw cap glass vials. 

Samples


Midwest Microlab performs analysis on solid and liquids samples, we do not perform analysis on gaseous state of matter samples.  The calculated amount of sample to submit is according to the appropriate sample theoretical percentage. Sample size to send for requested analysis is found on the following link: Midwest Microlab Sample Size Table. For Carbon, Hydrogen and Nitrogen analysis please provide a minimum of 5 mg per single run. 

Submission Sheets


Submission forms are available to download from our site: Midwest Microlab Sample Submission Form. Completed Submission Forms, with the same Sample Identification Number labelled on the vial and on the Midwest Microlab Submission Form, must be included in the shipment. Please include 1 submission form per sample within your shipment. Sample shipment to Midwest Microlab address is listed on the bottom left corner of the submission form. Under the item remarks, please include any known characteristics, that may affect the analysis.

Hazardous Samples


It is the responsibility of the submitter to disclose any and all hazards known about the substances being submitted for analysis. We do not analyze radioactive samples or any samples containing Osmium, Thorium, Uranium or PCB’s.
